Just a couple of words about "Mac"
Mac never bragged about anything. I learned after his passing he bragged allot about me, I guess thats what parents do. I  brag
about mine.
He loved to hunt and fish, we used to go fishing allot, he always had a friend with a fishing pond or small lake and of coerce they
would give him the combination to any locks to get in, he always left the grounds better and cleaner when he left, thats just the way
he was, he never took from anyone and was the first to volunteer for anyone that needed help including the good old USA. I have
not found out exactly what he had done in Korea, he did not talk about that much, but he did earn the Bronze Star Medal. He was a
member of the NRA he really liked to shoot guns of all types, He also was a certified gun safety instructor and volunteered his time
teaching. He also loved to talk on the ham radio, i talked him into taking his ham radio exam in 1992 and we spent allot of nights and
mornings talking from here in Texas to his home in Oklahoma city.

I later had to go through his things after his passing and found that he had more certificates for accomplishments and volunteer
services than i have ever seen before, there were literally dozens of this certificates and letters from some very high places, but like
i already stated he never bragged he just did what he thought was the right thing to do and didn't care about the glory.

When L.M. McAlister passed, The world really lost a building block that this great country of ours was built on, belief in God, trust,
caring, and a helping hand and when a mans word was better than any contract written today. My dad now has rejoined with his
dearly missed best friend as he called her, My mother who passed back in Dec 28th 1980, I miss them both dearly. I love you Mom &
Dad, We will see each other again some day but until then, see ya later,  Bob
